Slash Disposal: Community Success and Future Plans
Genesee Fire Rescue's 2024 Slash Collection Event was a huge success! Thanks to the participation and efforts of our community, we were able to significantly reduce fire hazards and promote a safer environment for everyone.
We are excited to announce that Genesee Fire Rescue will host another Slash Collection Event in the summer of 2025. This event will provide residents with an opportunity to dispose of tree limbs, branches, and other yard debris safely and efficiently. Stay tuned for more details on dates, times, and locations. Together, we can continue to protect our community from wildfire risks.
If you have slash to dispose of between now and this summer, please note that the Genesee Foundation will be conducting its annual slash pick up on May 27, 2025. Residents should make sure that slash is placed curbside before May 27!
Please also note that Jefferson County has reopened their slash drop off site located at the Tincup Ridge Slash Yard will be offering drop-offs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays beginning May 16, 2025. For more information please visit the Jefferson County Slash Collection site.
