Genesee Fire and Rescue’s ISO rating is 3.

The ISO Public Protection Classification (PPC) serves as a national measure of fire protection services that includes more than 39,000 fire protection areas throughout the United States (https://www.isomitigation.com/). The PPC is determined by an ISO auditor with a final rating that is based of four areas of measure: emergency communication systems, fire department operations, water supply system, and community efforts to reduce risk of fire. The resulting PPC rating is important as many insurers of both home and businesses use the PPC when calculating premiums (https://www.isomitigation.com/ppc/program-works/how-does-ppc-information-affect-individual-insurance-policies/). The PPC rating for a given fire protection area is between 1-10. The last ISO audit for Genesee Fire Rescue resulted in a PPC rating of 3 which puts us in the top 15% of fire service areas in the country.
