Community Outreach

The members of Genesee Fire Rescue do more than just respond to emergencies.

Each year they participate in fundraising efforts, attend local schools to present information on fire prevention, assist with community events, such as the Fourth of July parade and host an annual Open House for the community.

September Open House-The annual Open House allows the Genesee Community to get an up close look at Genesee Fire Rescue. Typically held the last Saturday in September, the Open House is a great opportunity to meet the fire fighters, view the apparatus and equipment the department uses, and learn about fire safety. This year the Open House will be Saturday, September 16th from 11-2.

Fourth of July Parade-Each Fourth of July, the members of Genesee Fire Rescue lead the parade down Currant Drive. The parade starts at Current Drive and Snowberry and ends at the Genesee Vista Clubhouse.
